Manual harvest from vineyards planted at 250m on calcareous clay. Fermentation in concrete with native yeasts and maximum 15 days on the skins with manual cap punching and occasional rack and return. Aging in 500l old tonneaux for 12 months. Unfined/unfiltered.

Located in the picturesque hillsides of Barbaresco, 5 miles from Alba. Gianluigi and his son Samuele farm wines practicing regenerative agriculture. One look a the rich composted soil at Lano, and you understand why these wines are so special. Everything is in balance, birds and bats housed throughout the vineyard keep insects in check. No pesticides or herbicides are used. The soil is never tilled and all weeds and vegetation are composted in situ. All fruit is manually harvested. In the cellar, natural yeast ferments, cement and stainless tanks are used for fermentation, and ageing in done in older large format oak.
