Brunello di Montalcino, Ciacci Piccolomini 2018

Availability: In stock

100% Sangiovese.

Winemaking Team Notes: "Approximately 8 hectares, located in medium-textured and marl soils of Eocene origin between 240 and 360 meters above sea level where the best grapes are selected for this Brunello di Montalcino vintage.

Fermented in stainless steel containers and vitrified concrete tanks at controlled temperature through cooling jackets and immersion plates. Aged in Slavonian oak barrels from 20 to 75 hl for more than 2 years, followed by aging in the bottle for more than 8 months.

Notes of red berry fruit are wrapped in a light spiciness; the taste is warm, quite soft and very balanced. Full-bodied wine with moderately pronounced tannins and long taste-olfactory persistence.

Warm, soft and very well balanced on the palate; well structured with soft tannins and long aftertaste."
