100% Sangiovese.

Winemaking Team Notes: "Poggio di Sotto was established in 1989 on the South-East side of Montalcino. Since the foundation, the Estate has become famous for the high quality of the Sangiovese and has quickly achieved the status of a Cult winery. Located in Castelnuovo dell’Abate with vineyards from 200 to 400 meters above sea level, with steep slopes.

The altitude, with the protection of the ancient volcano Amiata on one side and the river Orcia combined with the sea breeze from the other, result in a unique micro-climate making it one of the best areas for the growing of the Sangiovese."

Critic Tasting Note: "Stunning and fragrant, this elegantly structured wine opens with a fragrance of pressed violet, perfumed red berry, leather, white pepper and a whiff of mint. The vibrant, silky palate offers black raspberry, wild cherry, cinnamon and licorice alongside firm, refined tannins and bright acidity. It's loaded with finesse and already has great depth but hold for more complexity. Drink 2018–2028." - 97/100, Wine Enthusiast
