Winemaking Team Notes: "The majority of the domaine's 7 hectares of vineyards are located either in Chambolle-Musigny or just outside, and it was only when they bought land in Nuits Saint Georges in 2011 that they moved a little away from the village.
The domain is not certified organic. However, this is due to the farmer's lack of commercial insight, as neither pesticides nor herbicides are used today. A change that Michel implemented immediately after he had taken over responsibility for the vineyards.
Michel owns a plot of 0.25 ha on a north-east facing slope. There are large amounts of clay in the soil here, which is why the wines also seem rustic and traditional in their style.
Lovely deep nose. Dark fruit, forward acidity, almost a hint of saline – direct dark fruit in the mid-palate and finish. Certainly a wine to wait for."
