Availability: In stock

100% Chenin Blanc.

Winemaking Team Notes: "In the Loire Valley, Savennières is a small appellation of barely 130 hectares which produces great wines. Sand, volcanic stones, shale and granite on a 1h80 closed course in the heart of the village of Savennières. Nicknamed the Garden, we direct our efforts to this plot by favoring manual interventions as much as possible. Similarly, all soil work and weeding takes place on horseback.

Manual harvest is carried out in small boxes of 25 kg. All the fruit is sorted on the plot before being transported as a whole bunch to the press. Fermentation and aging for 12/14 months in 500 L barrels on total lees.

Our Clos des Perrières is a plot of 1.80 hectares located in the center of the village of Savennières, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its location and its 4 types of soil (sand, volcanic stones, schist & granite) give the Clos exceptional aging potential and complexity."

Terry's Advice: This wine is at its peak - drink now! Decant for 1 hour.
